“Located at the foot of the Napremont mountain, the residence is in the heart of the village of Pralognan-la-Vanoise. This privileged location offers unequalled perspectives on the Vanoise National Park. The consideration of this exceptional landscape is therefore obvious.
The mountain is not only a setting: the opening on the landscape is a prelude to the awareness of the mountain environment in all its authenticity, with its conviviality and its vagaries. The volume composes of the diversity of the surrounding buildings and soars on four levels. Thus, each of the dwellings can enjoy a singular view, sometimes on the resort-village, sometimes on the steep and wild reliefs.
Many balconies and loggias enliven the facades and encourage escape to the outside. Some are sometimes nestled under small roofs, thus recalling the spirit of the chalet. The architectural writing seeks to preserve the identity of the village with the use of traditional materials, such as nuanced local stone, coating and warm wood. On the last level, the tops cut the nave formed by the large roof to release sheltered alcoves conducive to a dreamy break.
