Planneralm / Schneebären ski area

In Styria’s highest ski village Planneralm (1,600-2,200 m), winter sports and skiing are a pure natural experience. There are no snow cannons and cannons for artificial snow, Planneralm is a 100% natural snow paradise. The Planneralm is sheltered from the wind due to its location, there is certainty and plenty of snow from December to April. With its six ski lifts, 15 kilometers of pistes and great infrastructure (including a ski school and sporting goods stores), it is especially popular with families. On the Planneralm, around 6,000 skiers can be transported from the valley to the mountain per hour.

You can ski here with your family in peace, and there is a separate children’s “resort” for the little ones, where they can first go up the magic carpet and then down the children’s slope. Below is a paradise for cross-country skiers on perfectly groomed tracks. Together with the Riesneralm, there are a total of 45 pistes – and 12 km of cross-country tracks of varying difficulty, and there is a toboggan run at the top.
