Obertrauern is a small town located 1740 m.n.m. and is located in the middle of colorful hotels and is part of the snowmobile of all possible slopes. This resort has a touch of French style with the soul of the Austrian winter center. Obertauern is one of the ski areas in the Alps, where there is plenty of snow, the most reliable center of non-glacial origin in Austria. The season lasts from mid-November to early May. This resort can offer 100 km of charming ski slopes and cross-country trails, state-of-the-art hotel accommodation comforts, great and versatile wellness and fitness facilities. The Austrian mood is always present here – in the morning from bed directly to the slope, in the afternoon to the “apres ski”. All lines are equipped with chairlifts, mostly express and often covered chairlifts, only to the top of the Zehnerkar cable car. The latest seats are also equipped with heating.

Cross-country skiers will enjoy themselves here, on the 6 km long World Cup track for professionals or, for example, on the 20 km Gnadenalm track for recreational cross-country skiers. The altitude of the ski slopes is not as stunning (1630 m and 2313 m) as for other resorts, but overall, this resort and therefore its range lies on Austrian conditions high, so that all slopes lie on the border of 2000 m.
